Welcome bonuses at crypto casinos fall into four structural buckets: matched deposit, free bet, rakeback, and prize-pool raffle. The marketing is interchangeable; the expected value is not. The following numbers are from our April 2026 review window and will drift, but the structure of each offer is stable across iterations.
You deposit, the site credits a percentage of the deposit as bonus funds, and you wager the bonus (sometimes plus the deposit) a fixed multiple of its value before any of it can be withdrawn. The useful number is not the headline match. It is expected cost to clear, which is rollover multiplied by the average house edge of the games you will play through it. At 40x on a 3 percent edge slot, a $200 bonus requires $8,000 of wager and costs roughly $240 in expected losses to clear $200 of cash. At 30x on the same slot, the same $200 costs about $180. Neither is free money. Both have positive expected value when played correctly because the deposit itself is also in play and the bonus merely compensates for the wagering.
A free bet credits a stake that is not returned on a winning settlement. Bet105 pays $25 to $50 at 1x rollover, minimum odds -200 or better. Because the rollover is 1x and sports outcomes are binary, the expected value is close to the headline: at -110 odds, a $50 free bet returns roughly $22 in expected value, versus $0 in expected value for an equivalent $50 casino bonus at 40x once you factor the house edge.
This is the highest-EV welcome offer in our test set for any player who would have bet sports anyway. It is not a relevant offer for a slots-first player.
Roobet does not run a matched welcome at all. For any matched deposit: EV per bonus dollar equals (1 minus house edge) to the power of the rollover multiplier. At 30x on 3 percent edge, that is 0.97 to the 30th, or about 40 percent retained. A $200 match therefore converts to roughly $80 of expected cash. At 40x, the same math yields about 30 percent, or $60 of expected cash on $200. Any matched-bonus rollover above 50x at typical house edges converts to pennies. Ignore the headline; check the rollover and do the arithmetic.
For pure expected value, Bet105's free bet is the most redeemable offer in our test set because the rollover is 1x on a sports outcome rather than 30x on a casino edge. Size is small, but conversion is near-full. For players who want a matched deposit on the casino side, Razed's 30x is the least painful. For players who wager heavily every week, Roobet's raffle and cash drops compound faster than any one-time match. Stake's 200% headline is the largest on paper and the average rollover by EV; it is a reasonable pick at $200 to $500 deposit sizes, less compelling at $2,000.
